The Chesapeake bay region is the sum of the Delaware, Maryland and Virginia bay shores (hence Del-Mar-Va) together with the extreme south-central part of Pennsylvania

This region is marked by the bay and also the plentiful waterways with slow moving rivers, sea food is the dominant characteristics even tough both the Plantation South and the Mid Atlantic influences are also felt here. Typical foods include oysters, crab, blue crab, flounder, shrimp, the striped bass and others.
